Only a handful of MCU movies and TV shows have been led by powerful female superheroes, and not all have been as successful as others.

Another possibility is that aYoung Avengersmovie or television series will finally happen. This willprovide a payoff for the Ms. Marvel and Kate Bishop scene at the end ofThe Marvels, along with all the otherpotential Young Avengers' membersalready set up in various projects throughout the MCU. Since this project has not been officially confirmed and greenlit yet, this could explain why Winderbaum is unable to share details about where Kamala’s story is headed.
