9-1-1: Lone Starseason 5 has had some of the best storylines of the show’s five-year run, but there are still several characters who need to return to the9-1-1spinoff before the show officially ends.9-1-1: Lone Starended its midseason finale with a satisfying closure to Carlos' father’s murder investigation, which had been consuming Carlos for the entirety of season 5. Owen also turned down his offer to become the Fire Chief of NYC after discovering his replacement, Judd, was not ready to take over. Meanwhile, Tommy started her cancer treatment after a devastating diagnosis.
With only three episodes left in9-1-1: Lone Starseason 5, there is still a lot that could happen. The9-1-1: Lone Starfinale trailerrevealed that an asteroid is set to impact Austin, leading to apocalyptic emergencies in the already intense show. The dramatic closing arc of the show leaves room for new character revelations and potentially opens the door for old characters to returnas they seek out help from Austin’s finest first responders.

8Deputy Chief Alden Radford
Radford Was A Major Character In The 9-1-1: Lone Star Pilot
Deputy Chief Alden Radford, played by Kevin Secor, is the former Fire Chief of Austin, and he helps convince Owen Strand (Rob Lowe) to come to Austin and help rebuild the 126.In the pilot episode, Radford travels to New York to try and recruit Owenafter an explosion kills several firefighters on the scene, effectively destroying the 126. Due to both Owen’s personal circumstances and Radford’s belief in him, Owen eventually accepted the move.
Radford was a vital component to the9-1-1: Lone Starpilot, as without him, Owen would never have arrived in Austin and the show’s story would be completely different. He truly believed in Owen and even wanted him to become his successor. Besides the pilot, Radford continued to appear as a guest star throughout9-1-1: Lone Starin seasons 1 and 2. Although he retired in season 2,Radford appearing in the9-1-1: Lone Starseason 5 finale would be a full circle moment for the showand highlight how far Owen has come since first arriving in Austin.

7Michelle Blake
Michelle Unexpectedly Left 9-1-1: Lone Star In The Season 1 Finale
Michelle Blake, played by Liv Tyler, was a major part of9-1-1: Lone Starseason 1. She was a cast regular in all 10 episodes but surprisingly left prior to season 2, without giving a proper on-screen finale to her character.Michelle was a paramedic, but her main character arc had to do with her missing sister, Iris, who ran away years ago. Throughout the season, Michelle searched for her sister in the background of helping patients on the front lines.
It was revealed in9-1-1: Lone Starseason 4 that Michelle was temporarily working in Ecuador.

While Michelle never received an on-screen exit, her colleagues revealed that she left her job to help vulnerable people living on the street in the season 2 premiere. Having Michelle return in the finale would also offer a full circle moment for the9-1-1: Lone Starcharacters. She was a great paramedic and truly believed in helping others, which is why her job outside of being a first responder makes sense for her character. However, if she had been visiting Austin when the asteroid hit, there is no doubt that she would have reunited with her colleagues to help people again.
6Detective Sarina Washington
Sarina Has Guest Starred In 9-1-1: Lone Star Since Season 1
Detective Sarina Washington, played by Tamala Jones, is an Austin PD detective who has worked with the first responders in9-1-1: Lone Starsince season 1. Respectful and intelligent, Sarina has had a kind heart in every episode she has appeared in. While she is a relatively minor character, she has appeared in significant storylines featuring intense and tragic casesand has even encouraged Carlos to take the detective exam. Even though she has not appeared in season 5 yet, she could appear in the final three episodes of the season.
Given the fact that Sarina has been a recurring character so far, it would be remiss to not feature her in season 5 too.
With the final three episodes of9-1-1: Lone Starset to feature a near-apocalyptic disaster with the asteroid, there are so many storylines that could happen.Sarina has been a huge help to the9-1-1: Lone Starteam so far,so she could also be helpful in the case of an emergency. There is no telling what the finale could bring, but it is clear that any help will be well appreciated by the group.
5Evan “Buck” Buckley
Buck Appeared In 9-1-1: Lone Star In The Crossover Episode
Evan “Buck” Buckley is one of the several characters that appear in the9-1-1and9-1-1: Lone Starcrossoverepisodes. In the crossover, the 126 face an uncontrollable wildfire to the point where they urgently request help from other fire units across the country. With no hesitation, Buck is one of the many who come to their call. The episode not only highlights the9-1-1franchise’s incredible ability to portray the terror of these dangerous situations but also showcases Buck’s friendliness and willingness to help others at a major cost to himself.
A9-1-1crossover occurs in9-1-1: Lone Starseason 2, episode 3, “Hold the Line.”
With the danger and urgency that is sure to arise in the9-1-1: Lone Star finale,it is highly likely that the 126 will request help from first responders around the country to help get the situation under control again.9-1-1: Lone Staralready revealed how good a crossover with9-1-1can be. As a result, there is all the more reason that the 126 will call Buck and his team once again to help ease some of the stress that comes with an asteroid hitting a major city.
4Kendra Harrington
Kendra Is A Love Interest That Deserved More
Kendra Harrington, played by Michaela McManus, was a recurring character in9-1-1: Lone Starseason 4 and a major love interest for Owen Strand. Her character especially stood out through her vocation, as besides her interest in Owen, she was also a billionaire heiress who regularly donated to various charities. Her relationship with Owen was made difficult as she was already married, though unhappily. The stakes of Kendra’s character were increasingly raised when her husband mysteriously died and Kendra was made the prime suspect.
Once the real killer was revealed, Kendra and Owen’s relationship seemed to improve, and the two seemed to have a real connection. The couple broke up sometime before season 5, but there was never any real announcement of their breakup. This gives Kendra the perfect excuse to return to Owen’s life in the final moments of9-1-1: Lone Star. Maybe the danger of the asteroid will encourage them to reach out to one another and reconnect. It would be the perfect way to give Owen a happy ending.
3Joe
Joe Is Marjan’s Main Love Interest
Joe, played by John Clarence Stewart, is Marjan’s former physical therapist and most recent romantic interest. The two met after Marjan was shot in9-1-1: Lone Starseason 4, episode 9 “Roadkill” and started to go to physical therapyto improve her mobility after the serious injury. Marjan was wary of her feelings for Joe at first but felt more comfortable once he revealed that he was Muslim. The9-1-1: Lone Starseason 4 finaleshowed Marjan bringing Joe as her plus one to TK and Carlos' wedding.
7 Things That Still Needs To Happen Before 9-1-1 Lone Star Ends
As many expected, 9-1-1: Lone Star season 5 is set to be the procedural drama TV show’s last, and many things must happen before it ends.
After the season 4 finale,Joe has not appeared much on9-1-1: Lone Star. However, given the real connection he shares with Marjan, it would be a missed opportunity to not show him and Marjan together as a couple at least one more time before the finale. Marjan is relatively private about her personal life, but having her appear with Joe in the final episodes of9-1-1: Lone Staris something that must happen before the show officially ends.
2Henrietta “Hen” Wilson
Hen Appeared In 9-1-1: Lone Star In The Crossover Episode
Henrietta “Hen” Wilson, played by Aisha Hinds, is one of the other characters that appeared alongside Buck in the9-1-1and9-1-1: Lone Starcrossover events. As a devoted firefighter paramedic,Hen has no hesitation to go and help the 126 deal with their raging wildfires in9-1-1: Lone Starseason 2. However, her decision to travel to Austin leads to a horrific threat to her life as the episode shows her and Owen struggling after their helicopter crashes.
The episode showcased Hen’s devotion to helping others but also led to deeper insights into both her and Owen’s characters, as their shared trauma led them to open up to one another.Having Hen appear in the9-1-1: Lone Starfinale would be incredibly useful to the 126. She has created a meaningful connection with Owen through their deep conversation, and she is incredibly hardworking. If anyone from the9-1-1team returns to9-1-1: Lone Star in the finale, it has to be Hen.
1Grace Ryder
Grace Abruptly Left 9-1-1: Lone Star In Season 3
Sierra McClain’s9-1-1: Lone Starexitas Grace Ryder was one of the most shocking character departures on the show.Grace left in the9-1-1: Lone Starseason 4 finaleto volunteer on a charitable Christian mission trip. Her decision was particularly surprising because she is Judd’s wife and Charlie’s mother, and up until the finale, she was incredibly involved with her family. Since she left, Judd has struggled to deal with her absence.
Grace’s 911 Lone Star Exit Is So Much Better Than The Alternate Way Of Writing Out Sierra McClain
The 9-1-1: Lone Star season 5 premiere explains Grace Ryder’s absence, and while the reasoning is disappointing, it’s better than the alternative.
Having Grace return in the finale would be great for Judd and her family, and it would be great for her team. Her exit was so out-of-character that having her return would help ease the pain that the9-1-1: Lone Starseason 4 finale caused. Grace was a highly skilled 9-1-1 operator, so if she were to return to the show, the team would surely welcome her back quickly to help deal with the chaos of the asteroid and the significant number of calls they were bound to receive.
