Below Deckhas been a successful Bravo franchise for years, but these cast members need a career change after appearing on the hit Bravo series.Below Deck Sailing Yachtseason 5is coming to a close, and it’s clear some crew members need a break, perhaps a permanent one. Captain Glenn Shephard was rightfully disappointed at the crew’s behavior on a night out with charter guests. Only Deckhand Chase Lemacks adhered to his guidelines, with troubled First Mate Gary King consuming ten drinks.

Below Deck Down Underseason 3is also on the horizon, withLara Rigby as Aesha Scott’s replacementas Chief Stew. Aesha’s a bright light in the franchise, and it’s unclear ifBelow Deck Down Undercan survive without her. For theBelow Deckfranchise to thrive, these eight cast members should step aside and let others shine in the limelight.

8Aesha Scott

Below Deck Mediterranean

Aesha could be a shocking choice for the list, but it is time for the fan-favorite Chief Stew to move on. She’s starred in bothBelow Deck Down Under andBelow Deck Mediterranean, working nearly flawlessly alongside Captain Sandy Yawn and Captain Jason Chambers. While there were relationship rumors between her and Captain Jason, they just had a close, sibling-like camaraderie.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

Bri Muller and Elena “Ellie” Dubaich gave her a run for her money onBelow Deck Mediterranean. They were constantly feuding with each other and questioning Aesha’s leadership.Aesha deserves better than dealing with insecure, incompetent stews. She’s already a bona fide Bravo star; she should lean into an influencing career and move on from yachting. Aesha could easily star in other reality TV shows or become a travel influencer.

7Ben Willoughby

Below Deck

Ben Willougby stepped up as Bosun onBelow Deckseason 11, but unfortunately, he fell short. The Australian Bosun consistently let Captain Kerry Titheradge, Captain Lee Rosbach’s replacement, down and strained their relationship.Captain Kerry and Ben feuded onscreen and online, with Ben asserting that he would never work with the Captain again. He complained that Captain Kerry micromanaged him; however, Ben couldn’t complete his duties without specific instructions.

Ben wasn’t a much better Bosun than Jared Woodin, but at least he didn’t threaten anybody in a hot tub.

Ben’s behavior towards Marie “Sunny” Marquis was also suspect, as the Bosun led his subordinate on for the majority of the season, still flirting with his season 10 boatmance, Camille Lamb, on FaceTime. It was shocking whenBen and Sunny stayed togetherafter the show, and while that redeemed him a little, he needed to take a break from yachting and try something new.

6Elena “Ellie” Dubaich

Ellie seemed intent on feuding with everyone onBelow Deck Mediterranean. She and Bri butted heads early on. Ellie was content with Bri needing her help as Third Stew, but once she began speaking up for herself and shared a crush on Lead Deckhand Joe Bradley, things turned sour. Admittedly, it would be difficult to share a boatmance aboard the Mustique, but Ellie’s jealousy was a little unwarranted.

Ellie should’ve focused on her job rather than rank. She probably ruined her chances at ever becoming a Chief Stew in the franchise.

She put the nail in her coffin when she began questioning Aesha’s leadership. Ellie was jealous when Stew Carrie O’Neill arrived as a fourth stew to save the day, especially because she had more experience than Ellie. The Second Stew became overly concerned with rank, whereas Aesha just wanted the guests to get the best service.Ellie may have ruined her chances for a future season onBelow Deck Mediterraneanbecause of her pettiness and should move on.

5Jared Woodin

BosunJared Woodin was swiftly fired onBelow Deckseason 11, and replaced by Ben, who also didn’t do a great job. Despite his extensive experience, he faced challenges adapting to the yacht’s operations, leading to several on-deck mishaps that ultimately resulted in his termination. He argued with Kyle Stillie near the hot tub, resulting in Captain Kerry firing him.

Jared is gone fromBelow Deck, but he should probably leave yachting in general. Jared is the father of a three-year-old daughter who resides in Alaska. Due to custody challenges, he has yet to meet her in person, but he shares on the show that they talk on the phone. Balancing his demanding yachting career with his desire to build a relationship with his daughter has been an important part of his life, and probably led to some of his anger issues and lack of focus.

4Chef Johnathan Shillingford

Chef Johnathan Shillingford provided comic relief onBelow Deck Mediterranean, but he was also a liability because of his inconsistency. Many guests felt his food was mid, especially early in the charter season. While Chef Jono started to improve as the season went on, he still committed a fireable offense, causing Captain Sandy to rush to find a replacement for him.Chef Jono almost got firedmultiple times.

Chef Jono served tuna carpaccio to a guest with a condition called iron overload, which prevented her from consuming raw seafood as it could be fatal. This dietary restriction was mentioned in the guest’s preference sheet. WhileCaptain Sandy tried to find a new Chef to finish the charter season with, she was unsuccessful. Chef Jono is a fun time, but a superyacht might not be the best place for his culinary skills.

3Bri Muller

Bri had a rough time onBelow Deck Mediterranean, and it sadly revealed that yachting isn’t the industry for her. She joined the crew of the Mustique as the Third Stew, typically the least experienced role on the yacht. Bri had no idea what she was doing; however, she was willing to learn from Aesha, Ellie, and Captain Sandy. Furthermore, Captain Sandy has made it a goal of her stature in the yachting world to elevate and train female yachties.

Bri repeatedly proved she wasn’t cut out for the yachting life on Below Deck Mediterranean.

Unfortunately, Bri wasn’t getting it. Her reputation in the laundry was dismal, consistently making mistakes, even when she started writing things down in a “Burn Book,” which upset Ellie. She would also break down and cry when receiving feedback from Captain Sandy or Aesha, which led them to walk on eggshells around her. Bri isn’t a bad person, but yachting isn’t the place for her.

2Daisy Kelliher

Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Daisy has been a fan-favorite Chief Stew onBelow Deck Sailing Yachtsince season 2 when she replaced Jenna MacGillivray. However, it’s time for her to move on. Daisy is already a successful influencer and doesn’t seem to enjoy being a Chief Stew anymore. Something broke in her after the love triangle debacle inBelow Deck Sailing Yachtseason 4. She was genuinely interested in Colin Macrae, and Gary King’s jealousy, mixed with the short-lived nature of her relationship, distracted her from her position as Chief Stew.

Dublin, Ireland

Daisy might be ready to go afterBelow Deck Sailing Yachtseason 5because of how whiny and vitriolic her Stews, Danni Warren and Diana Cruz, behaved. Danni was constantly engaging in power struggles with her boss, whereas Diana seemed to hate everything and did not want to do any real work. Daisy is 36 years old and might be too grown to deal with the children she’s forced to manage.

1Gary King

Gary’s time in theBelow Deckfranchise should be up. However, he might also benefit from leaving yachting entirely if he’s going to focus on his health. Yachting involves plenty of partying and drinking, andGary has proven he struggles with alcohol consumptionand relationships onboard the Parsifal III and beyond. When he tried to stay sober, it only lasted a couple of weeks. Once Daisy started hooking up with Keith, he turned to booze again, and it could cost him his job.

Gary is an excellent yachtie when he’s not drinking. He’s an expert First Mate, a solid teacher, and great with guests. Unfortunately, he turns into a different person when he drinks. Gary becomes irritable, messy, cruel, and focused on hooking up. In other words, he self-destructs. He should explore an industry in which alcohol doesn’t play such a large role. If he can break those patterns, he could return toBelow Deck Sailing Yacht.

Below Deck Sailing Yachtairs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.
