Two cosplayers create a first-time encounter between the Thirteenth Doctor and her Weeping Angel-self fromDoctor Whoseason 13. Jodie Whittaker became the first female actor to play the Time Lord in 2017 following Peter Capaldi’s departure from the role and portrayed the character for five years across three seasons and a number of holiday specials. In Whittaker’s final full season, the Thirteenth Doctor had a fateful encounter withthe Weeping Angelsin “Village of the Angels,” leading to a chilling cliffhanger.
As@thats.so.cosplayattended the Chicago TARDISconvention, she joined forces with fellow Thirteenth Doctor cosplayer Katie Haynes for a short video featuring their fantastic renditions of the Time Lord. As the former stood in the all-too-familiar Weeping Angel pose while wearing her incredibly detailed cosplay,Haynes embodied the Time Lord and acted out Whittaker’s character reacting to her transformed self.
