Recently,Diablo 4released its massive expansion,Vessel of Hatred, which overshadowed the fact that separate content for Season of Hatred Rising launched at the same time. Season 6 is available to allDiablo 4players and offers plenty of additional content to enjoy with a simple story and rewards available. Season of Hatred Rising continues the tradition that Seasonal content is not related directly to the main narrative of the game, which allows it to be a limited-time event with special features and content only available during that time.
Despite Season of Hatred Rising comingat the same time asVessel of Hatred, players do not need to have purchased the expansion in order to participate in Season 6. Of course, players who have purchased theVessel of Hatredexpansion can enjoy the special Season of Hatred Rising quests and rewards in addition to their journey through Nahantu. Therefore, having a smaller Season is a good balance for those players, although it can be a bit disappointing for those who have not purchased the DLC.

10Diablo 4’s Season Of Hatred Rising Story Is A Bit Smaller In Scope
Likely To Not Overshadow Vessel Of Hatred’s Launch
In comparison with the previous Seasons inDiablo 4, the Season of Hatred Rising is lighter in story and content, likely due to its simultaneous launch withVessel of Hatred. Like all Seasons, there are some new features which Season 6 brings to the base game as a whole, including the Eternal Realm, and other things that are only available to new characters in the Seasonal Realm.
Forming a loose connection toVessel of Hatred, the Season of Hatred Rising story centers around Mephisto’s Hatred, which is corrupting Sanctuary. Remnants of the Zakarum Order are looking for help in fighting back the twisted creatures of hatred that are rising up. This includes large Realmwalkers that use portals between the Seething Realms and Sanctuary.

9The Purveyor Of Curiosities Has Much Better Drops
Worth Another Look At These Wares
A subtle, but potentially important change that came alongside Season of Hatred Rising forDiablo 4wasa slight bump up given to the Purveyor of Curiosities stock. This gambling vendor only accepts Murmuring Obols for currency, which makes gambling a little more palatable. Players simply select what type of gear they are looking for, and then pay the fee to get a random piece of that gear back.
Diablo 4 - How to Target Farm Unique Items (Season 6)
Diablo 4 Season 6 has brought a huge variety of reworks to the game, including a much needed buff to the Purveyor of Curiosities.
Where before Season 6, this NPC would often give Magic and Rare gear types, now there is a much higher possibility for Legendary or even Unique items. Spending Obols for a chance to get a Unique weapon or armor can offer an easy way to farm for better gear, without the need to repeatedly chase the big bosses in the game.

8Season 6 Base Game Changes Have Decreased The Level Cap To 60
Max Level Moved From 100 To 60, But The Paragon Board Begins At 60
At first glance, having the max level cap forDiablo 4drop from 100 to 60 seems like a step backwards. In the traditional way of thinking of character levels, it can be. However,as soon as a player reaches level 60, the Paragon board is opened up to them, with potentially another 300 Paragon levels through further gameplay. TheParagon board can help playerstweak their character builds with a more detailed approach, and using the addition of Glyphs and other bonuses, characters can still be incredibly powerful.
Diablo 4 Season 6: Level Cap & Difficulty Changes, Explained
Diablo 4’s new season has made alterations to the level cap and difficulty. Here’s everything you need to know about the Season 6 changes.
The reasoning behind this change is that developers are hoping character progression will be more meaningful through the Paragon features. Additionally,Paragon Points that are earned will be connected to the realm that the player is on, whether Seasonal or Eternal, and shared across all characters the player has on that realm. Many of the changes to the Paragon system will make it feel much more like it was inDiablo 3, particularly by using Paragon Nodes.
7World Tiers Are No More With Diablo 4’s New Difficulty Levels
Rebalanced Difficulty And Torment Levels
Diablo 4previously had a World Tier system for players to set their difficulty in the game, but with Season 6 this process is being overhauled. Rather than having four difficulties ranging from World Tier one to four, there are now essentially two tiers of difficulty that each have four levels in them.
Standard Difficulty will offer Normal, Hard, Expert, and Penitent levels, with Normal and Hard unlocked for all players immediately. Expert is unlocked after finishing the prologue, and Penitent is only unlocked after level 50. For those who have progressed that far and want more of a challenge, Torment Difficulty ranges from Torment levels one through four and is tied to endgame activity featuring The Pit.

A Much Requested Feature Since Launch

Now, with Season 6, the new Party Finder is unveiled to fill that need.Using the Party Finder, players can either list a party or search for a party to join, with numerous ways to narrow down what type of gameplay is wanted.
Naturally, players can specify between Dungeons, Open-world content, The Pit, and more. The system also has ways to label if they want a Carry Request, repeat runs, or other specific gameplay types. A person can even indicate whether they would like to talk or be silent using these labels under the categories of Playstyle, Social, and Gameplay.

Upgrading to the Premium Battle Pass, which can cost real world money to do so unless a player has a lot of platinum on hand, has two unique mounts, a Soul Drinker armor set, town portal skins, and much more.
4Gaining Reputation With The Zakarum Remnants Has Additional Rewards
The Zakarum Are Mephisto’s Enemies
Picking up where Season of the Infernal Hordes left off, the remnants of the Zakarum have grouped together to try to find a way to put an end to Mephisto’s evil corruption that’s spreading across Sanctuary. There are not many Zakarum left, and these remnants are therefore looking to the players for assistance against the infestation. Players can build up reputation with the Zakarum Remnants by battling Realmwalkers, defeating monsters in the Seething Realms, or using Seething Opals while battling monsters nearly anywhere in the game.
For Season of Hatred Rising,Crusader Damond in Zarbinzet can direct players to start the current story for the Season. This NPC is also who players will want to talk to as they earn reputation with the Zakarum Remnants in order to get rewards that areexclusive to Season 6.
3Seething Opals Are A Consumable That Grants Helpful Buffs
Bonuses To XP And Loot Drops
After completing a run through Season of Hatred Rising’s new Seething Realm dungeons, players are awarded with Seething Opals. Despite sounding like a socketable gem, these Seething Opals are consumables which give unique boosts depending on the type of Opal used. There are five versions of the Seething Opal available in the game. These include Gold, Equipment, Materials, Socketables, and Torment, and will offer a bonus to those activities as long as the Seething Opal is active.
The Seething Opal of Torment will provide a chance for any monster to drop additional Artificer’s Stones, boss summoning items, and Infernal Compasses.
Using a Seething Opal is not limited to Seasonal content, but will provide the associated buff for nearly all areas of the game. When used, they will also provide greater reputation gains for the Zakarum Remnants, including giving the chance to earn reputation with this faction even when the activity being done is not related to the Season.
2Realmwalker World Event Appears Every 15 Minutes In Various Locations
Defeating A Realmwalker Opens A Special Portal
Realmwalkers are the big threat to Sanctuary in Season of Hatred Rising. One of these massive beasts will spawn in an area every 15 minutes, and for those players with theVessel of Hatredexpansion, there will be a second Realmwalker in Nahantu. On the map, there will be a green skull icon to signify which region has a Realmwalker, but then the actual beast can appear anywhere in that location. If a white portal icon is displayed on the map, that shows the location that the Realmwalker will be spawning at.
After the Realmwalker spawns, they will slowly roam the area, spitting out hordes of monsters as it goes. Players must defeat its minions, including Bloodbound Guardians, in order to even be able to deal damage to the Realmwalker. Once the Realmwalker is killed,a special portal to the Seething Realm will openwhere it went down.
1The Seething Realm Dungeons Are This Season’s Best Place For Rewards
Only Accessed By Defeating Realmwalkers
The portal that is left behind from a defeated Realmwalker takes a player into the Seething Realms, which are essentially short dungeons made for Season of Hatred Rising. Cleansing the Seething Realms of the monsters within can give players Seething Opals, Zakarum Remnants reputation, and plenty of loot.
Additionally, inside the Seething Realm there seems to be a higher probability of Treasure Goblins, also called Seething Goblins for this Season. Therefore, if a player is looking to get some extra gold for upgrades, clearing out Seething Realms is a wonderful way to do so inDiablo 4.
