While there is a formal hero ranking inMy Hero Academia, the villains aren’t included for obvious reasons. The formal ranking does make it easy to differentiate between some characrers, both other characters like Deku are too young to rank. If Deku was a bit older, however, he might just take the number one spot asthe strongest hero in the country.

Bakugo Katsuki My Hero Academia

10Katsuki Bakugo

Deku’s Rival Is One of the Strongest in the Series

Katsuki Bakugo is one of the most enjoyable characters to watchinMy Hero Academia. He’s an incredibly passionate character who always fights with his heart on his sleeve. He might be one of the few characters around who loves All Might as much as Midoriya does and holds his long-time rival to a high standard because of it. While he may not have initially understood why Midoriya inherited One For All, he eventually comes around to support Deku and fights alongside him.

10 Best Bakugo Moments in My Hero Academia

Bakugo Katsuki is one of My Hero Academia’s most determined and heroic characters, and these are the ten moments where he shined the most.

Bakugo’s quirk is unique in the series. He sweats out nitroglycerin, a powerful explosive he controls well. While he starts the series only being able to control the explosions outside his hands, he can eventually make any of the moisture around his body explode, creating some of the coolest sequences in the series.

9Best Jeanist

The No. 3 Hero inMy Hero Academia

Best Jeanist is a soft-spoken character who controls entire battlefields. His entrance onto the battlefield versus Gigantomachia and Dabi is easily one of the coolest moments in the entire series. While everyone thinks the No. 3 hero is dead, he airdrops himself onto the battlefield with a bunch of thread machines he uses to tie his opponents down. As the Fiber Hero, Best Jeanist can control anything that has fiber, allowing him to restrain his opponents better than anyone.

Best Jeanist is a strategist, never letting his emotions get the best of him. He’s smart while he’s fighting, and he’s even able to get through to the incredibly dense Bakugo to give him advice. He’s tenacious and durable as well, never letting any of his enemies get him out of a fight for too long.

8Overhaul

One of the Strongest Villains in the Series

Overhaul is a brutal villain inMy Hero Academiaandone of the strongest in the series. His real name is Kai Chisaki and he’s the leader of the Yakuza organization called the Shie Hassaikai. Towards the middle of the series, Chisaki becomes a major threat to Deku and the rest of the heroes. His organization is trying to control quirks through a child named Eri,using her rewind ability to take people’s quirks away entirely.

If it wasn’t for Eri’s ability to let Deku go past 100% and survive, he probably wouldn’t have been defeated for a long time. Chisaki’s Quirk allowed him to Overhaul, or rearrange, anything he put his hands on, allowing him to instantly kill anyone he touches. Even if he can’t touch someone, he can touch the ground to Overhaul it,creating a mountain of spikes to drive into his enemies.

7Hawks

One of the Smartest Heroes inMy Hero Academia

Hawks is the No. 2 hero fighting for the public inMy Hero Academia. He’s a smart character and someone very willing to get his hands dirty if it means protecting the people he loves. “Never Lose To the Darkness”: My Hero Academia’s Best Character Twist Was Set From the Start

Kohei Horikoshi, the author of My Hero Academia, has revealed that the popular character Bakugo was never meant to be a villain.

One of Hawks' strongest features is his willingness to see a job through. He’s one of the most tenacious characters in the series with a backbone made of steel. He’s always willing to take on the strongest enemies and doesn’t care what happens so long as he can win. With his ultimate move,Hawks was finally able to damage All For One’s helmet, turning the tide in the battle.

6Gigantomachia

Gigantomachia Has Several Devastating Quirks

Gigantomachia is an amalgamation of dangerous Quirks. He’s All For One’s lapdog and even has the Dog Quirk to prove it. He’s a walking one-man army that takes several heroes down with ease. He’s so powerful, he can turn the tide of hugely important battles by himself. If it hadn’t been for Yayorozu’s quick thinking and expert planning, this titan of a villain wouldn’t have been stopped for a long time.

One My Hero Academia Movie Villain Foreshadowed One Of The Final War’s Best Moments

Chimera, one of the most unique villains of My Hero Academia, made a comment that could have been predicted Shoji’s role in the Final War.

As All For One’s bodyguard, Gigantomachia had a ton of Quirks placed inside him. His original Quirk was Endurance, giving him the ability to convert his morale into energy he can use. All For One later gave himPain Blocker, Gigantification, Dog, Energy Saver, Fierce Gains, and Mole, all to create the perfect weapon. With his Quirk Endurance acting as a base, Gigantomachia can effectively use seven seperate Quirks at once.

5Endeavor

The new No. 1 herois a fierce fighter with some of the hottest flames around.Endeavor is an intense man and, while he may not be a great father, he’s certainly a great defender. He’s the strongest hero around once All Might enters retirement, and it’s easy to see why. Endeavor’s sheer firepower puts him in another league from his fellow heroes. He’s able to destroy the near-indestructible Nomus almost single-handedly.

In one of the coolest moments in the series, Endeavor knows he has to release all of his power if he wants to defeat the high-end Nomu. Hawks uses the last of his winds to send Endeavor straight into the sky, far away from people, cars, and buildings. Endeavor then uses one of his strongest attacks, the impressive Plus Ultra Prominence Burn. Endeavor’s flames burn so brightly it looks like there’s a second son. He destroys the Nomu with his attack, falling back to the Earth triumphantly.

4Shigaraki

He Can Destroy Anything He Touches

Shigaraki is one of the most tragic characters in the series. He was neglected as a child because his Quirk, Decay, scared the people around him. It led him to grow up jaded and angry, and it eventually led to All For One finding him and controlling Shigaraki.Shigaraki’s Decay Quirk is already one of the best in the series, and when he got the original version of All For One, he became unstoppable. At full power,Shigaraki is truly a walkingAkirareference, replicating some of that franchise’s most disgusting and impressive feats.

All For One gave his Quirk away to Shigaraki because he knew that All Might would probably defeat him in battle. Shigaraki used to Quirk masterfully, stealing as many Quirks as he could to become the monster everyone saw him as. If it wasn’t for Star and Stripe’s masterful self-sacrifice turning New Order against his other Quirks,he might be a lot stronger than he already is.

3Deku

The Ninth Wielder of One For All

Deku has one of the best character arcs in anime. He starts the series as a kid who wants nothing more than to help the people around him just like his idol All Might. By the end of the series, he becomes the beacon of hope he’s always looked towards. Midoriya is the ninth and final wielder of thestrongest Quirk inMy Hero Academia, One For All. He’s also the first wielder of the Quirk to inherit the Quirks used by the previous wielders, giving him the potential to be the strongest character of all time. Unfortunately for Deku, he doesn’t have the Quirk long enough to master each facet of it.

When he does have the Quirk, however, he’s an absolute wrecking ball on the battlefield. One For All gives him the ability to stockpile huge amounts of power at once, andhis other Quirks allow him to fly across the battlefield and deliver that damage effectively.Beyond his Quirks, Deku is another tenacious character who doesn’t know when to quit and will go to any lengths to save his friends.

2All Might

When All Might was at the peak of his power,he was the strongest user of One For All in existence. While he was Quirkless before he got it, he used One For All like it was always made for him. Real name Toshinori Yagi, All Might was a force to be reckoned with. He defended citizens so well that he earned the nickname the Symbol of Peace for his efforts.

There wasn’t anyone who could hold a candle to All Might, except for All For One. Every other villain in the series was petrified when the Symbol of Peace arrived at the battlefield. While All Might defeated All For One at Kamino, he didn’t out last him. He might have had he not given his power away, butAll Might recognized that it was Deku’s turn to lead a new generation of heroes.

1All For One

He Outlasted His Longtime Rival

All For One is the single strongest, smartest character inMy Hero Academia. He’s able to stand against hero society by himself for most of the series, never relying on the people around him and using them as tools for the most part. While he lost to All Might in battle, he won the war. He was able to retain his Quirks while All Might lost them, allowing All For One to go on yet another rampage. His Quirk allows him to steal Quirks from other people and redistribute them as he sees fit, allowing him to create a host of powerful allies.

10 Best Parallel Scenes in My Hero Academia That Proves It’s One of the Best Written Shonen

MHA proves to be one of the best-written shonen mangas by including many parallel scenes throughout the story to deliver an inspiring message.

All For One is strong enough to fight both Hawks and Endeavor at the same time without much difficulty, taking on the No. one and two heroes with a few of his many Quirks. Considering Endeavor and Hawks are also incredibly powerful in their own right, this is no minor achievement. He’s also smart enough to foresee his potential loss to All Might, implanting his Quirk into Shigaraki so he can use it later.
