My Hero Academia’svillains have certainly given the series' heroes a run for their money over the years. With incredible Quirks, conniving plans, and a desire to watch heroes fall from power, these villains are not to be underestimated.Although mostMy Hero Academiavillains despise heroes, they each hate them for vastly different reasons.

For example, Shigaraki hates heroes because he blames them for not saving him from a tragic childhood event, while Stain hates heroes because he disagrees with Pro Heroes being paid and adored by society for their efforts, believing that they should not accept material rewards and praise for their work. Additionally, these villains' Quirks are just as varied as their core beliefs. These evildoers arecapable of truly atrocious acts using the powers they wield, including everything from burning enemies with flames to disintegrating living and non-living things.

6Twice’s Backstory Is Surprisingly Tragic, Explaining Why He Turned to Villainy

His Quirk, Double, Is So Powerful That Hawks Decided to Kill Him

Jin Bubaigawara, known as Twice, is a very well-written and complex villain, witha disastrous backstory that explains why he turned to villainy. Twice’s Quirk, Double, lets him create an infinite number of clones of himself. However, this backfired horrendously when his clones began killing one another, leaving him with an identity crisis and doubts overwhether he was even the original Twice.

He joined the League of Villains because they accepted him when he felt no one else would. He seems tohave a form of Dissociative Identity Disorder, possessing one personality that is upbeat and bubbly and one that is harsh and critical. Twice’s story is tragic, since he only became a villain because of the dire circumstances he found himself in with nowhere else to turn.

5Overhaul Wants To Eliminate All Quirks Entirely

His Quirk, Overhaul, Was the Origin of Shigaraki’s Powerful Decay

Kai Chisaki, leader of the Shie Hassaikai, is better knownas the evil villain Overhaul. Because of his distinctive power and determined attitude, Overhaul is one of the series' most interesting villains.

Try as he might, Dabi could never impress Endeavor with his Quirk, leading him to break down and almost burn to death when his Quirk became uncontrollable.

My Hero Academia: Dabi Narrowly Avoided a Much More Horrific Fate

Dabi’s rash decisions upon waking from his coma are the only thing that saved him from a worse fate, like that which befell a Vigilantes' character.

Due to his father’s mistreatment, Dabi grew to hate all heroes, joining the League of Villains to help eliminate them from society. His Quirk, Blueflame, is very powerful and capable of inflicting serious damage even on his father. Dabi often comes off as cold, buthis reserved state makes sense considering the resentment he still carriestowards his family.

2All for One IsMy Hero Academia’sMost Menacing and Unstoppable Villain

His Namesake Quirk Puts Him at the Apex of Quirk Society

All For One is the supreme antagonist ofMy Hero Academia, for good reason. He is pure evil incarnate, bent on taking down heroes so he can rule over the entire world himself. His Quirk, All For One, is absolutely terrifying, enabling him to take the Quirks of others and keep them for himself, or to give them to others. He was the one who ended All Might’s hero career, since All Might used the last shreds of One For All fighting against him when the League of Villains kidnapped Bakugo.

Because of the nature of his Quirk,All For One’s abilities are nearly limitless. He can take any Quirk he chooses from anyone he touches at any time, making him an almost unstoppable villain. All For One also had another powerful villain on his side, Tomura Shigaraki, who he found abandoned as a defenseless child and convinced to join his evil plan. All For One took advantage of Shigaraki, preying on his lonely and guilty state to turn him against heroes.

My Hero Academia Finally Justifies Shigaraki’s Transformation

My Hero Academia chapter 360 shows that Tomura Shigaraki can now get up close and personal in ways he never could before, but at what cost?

Shigaraki never forgave the heroes because of the lack of help he received from them during the most horrific moment of his life. He joined forces with All For One, who fueled his anger, fighting to remake society. Furthermore, his Decay Quirk is one of the scariest in the series, since it can cause anyone he touches to die instantly.
