The Walking Dead features many twists throughout the show. As much as it was too beautiful to be true to believe that a kid in thehorrorworld ofThe Walking Deadwould survive on her own in a forest, Carol, Daryl, and the audience all held on to small fragments of hope for her survival. However, the moment is a reminder of the brutal reality of the apocalypse, that does not spare anyone. There’s no more room for hope or denial.
