Even though Kokichi could not attend school in person due to a disability and had to go to school remotely using his robot, Mechamaru, he still struck up friendships with his classmates anyway.
All the second years from Kyoto Jujutsu High hung out often, but Miwa and Kokichi seemed to take a special liking to each other, withMiwa telling Kokichi that she likes “what they have.“Sadly, the pair were never able to explore their bond further, because Kokichi died in a fight with the Cursed Spirit, Mahito. Touchingly, his last words were a romantic confession to his friend Miwa, breaking her heart as she realized she would never see him again.
